The Longmont Theater Company is made up of hundreds of people, and several programs. In addition to our “main stage” shows and the casts and crews that produce our regular season, we have a few troupes within the company that have a special focus.
Standing Room Only
Standing Room Only is Longmont Theatre Company’s premiere musical performing ensemble, dedicated to promoting the performing arts and encourage music and performing at any age. SRO performs from time to time at special events at Longmont Theatre, and is available to perform at meetings, gatherings and events around the community.
If you’d like to join SRO, check the news for audition opportunities on the news page. The group will hold auditions each year for general membership, and additional auditions for musical shows.
Taste of Shakespeare
We deliver Shakespearean theater, in free performances, at locations up and down the Front Range. We perform complete shows, as well as skits, songs, stage fighting, and other creative acts. We also offer free workshops for actors during the school year.
Young people are the future of the company, and LTC offers several camps during the summer to introduce students to theatre, and train them in theatrical arts — both on stage and back stage.
We also plan a holiday show in December, with the goal of casting as many students as possible. Watch the Auditions page as the school year starts, for information on when and how to try out!
Colorado Community Theatre Coalition Performers
CCTC is not a troupe within LTC, but rather, LTC is a member of CCTC. Each year, CCTC holds a theatrical performance conference and competition, and from time to time, LTC sends a production to the competition. The actors and crew represent the best LTC has to offer. They compete against other community theater companies across the state, and often come home with awards for performance, set design, and technical excellence.
