New Trojan Movie House & Art Cinema
In 2015, the public began the “Raise the Screen” campaign. By 2018, the money collected in a donation box in the lobby of the theatre raised enough money to install a 19 ft tall by 12 foot movie screen. The name New Trojan Movie House & Art Cinema was selected to honor Richard W. Klein the former owner of the Trojan Theatre, a movie house in the same location 513 Main Street and who worked to help the Longmont Theatre Company put together the ability to purchase the building in 1990. Klein also named the building the Longmont Performing Arts Center. Some recent movies shown include 1939 Dracula, the original black and white Frankenstein movies, Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, Wizard of Oz, and Star Wars.
LONGMONT BUSINESS SCREEN ADVERTISING
In honor of being a Longmont business owner, the movie house created an advertising program. For $25 per movie, a Longmont business can submit a pdf of a logo, business card or other information to run on the screen before the movie begins. Submit to mdeets@longmonttheatre.org. We will call you for payment.
