An important aspect of LTC’s mission is to provide artistic educational opportunities in order to encourage the love of theater, and help the arts flourish in our community. Toward that end, we offer something for all ages.
New Generation Theatre Academy
Longmont Theatre Company announces their Summer Youth Theatre Program, with the 2016 New Generation Theatre Academy.
In 2015, we re-structured our summer youth theater program to give students a strong educational experience in theatre through performance. The results were met with rave reviews, and our offerings this summer continue in the new form. Jim Kimbrough, a long-time educator and theater director, will lead the program.
During the summer, LTC offers several camps for youth theater, for all ages, from Kindergarten through High School. All camps end with a live performance on the LTC stage.
Taste of Shakespeare
A Taste of Shakespeare is an educational and outreach program of the Longmont Theatre Company.
We deliver Shakespearean theater, in free performances, at locations up and down the Front Range. We perform complete shows, as well as skits, songs, stage fighting, and other creative acts. We also offer free workshops for actors during the school year.
